Hanu Man Movie Review?

In the midst of the Sankranthi celebrations and the battle of the big screen titans, Prasanth Varma’s “HanuMan” has become a compelling force, telling a story of action, dedication, and superhuman ability. HanuMan, which is competing against “Guntur Kaaram,” directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Superstar Mahesh Babu, is gaining attention for its distinct plot and eye-catching visuals.

The protagonist of the story is Teja Sajja’s Hanumanth, a small-time thief who becomes a superhero after obtaining Mani, a valuable stone. Equipped with superhuman abilities, Hanumanth sets out on a quest to save his town, Anjanadri, from the evil Michael, portrayed by Vinay Rai. The movie is about a fight between good and evil, in which Michael and Hanumanth square off.

Teja Sajja receives praise for her depiction of Hanumanth, which skillfully shows how the character goes from being an underdog to a compelling superhero. As the love interest, Amritha Aiyer delivers what is expected of her, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, as Anjamma, the older sister, gives the story more nuance. In the second part of the movie, the relationship between the brother and sister becomes crucial. Villain Vinay Rai’s portrayal, albeit falling short, is matched by the humorous talents of Vennela Kishore, Satya, and Getup Sreenu.

“HanuMan” features a huge canvas with elaborate technological details. Despite the screenplay’s flaws, the movie makes up for them with stunning background music and graphics, as well as with commendable VFX work. The film was well-received by viewers, as seen by its impressive 4.8/5 rating.

Thumbs Up:
  1. Enthralling portrayal of Lord Hanuman.
  2. Top-notch Visuals, VFX, and BGM.
  3. Gripping Climax.
Thumbs Down:
  1. Weakness in the middle act.
  2. Weak antagonist and cinematic liberties.

The film, which runs for two hours and forty-eight minutes, masterfully combines drama, action, emotion, and dedication to create the perfect blend of a Desi superhero story. The direction of Prasanth Varma, which is characterized by sporadic lighthearted comedy, crafts a linear superhero story that is brought to life by stunning sights and outstanding visual effects.

An interesting story is put up in the first parts of the movie, which also introduce Hanumanth and the village of Anjanadri. The director’s mastery of his craft is evident in the thrilling scenes he offers, which build to a suspenseful intermission that keeps fans engrossed throughout. Families and kids like the well-placed humor in the first half, which is provided by Satya and Getup Seenu.

Even though the expertly choreographed action scenes occasionally defy gravity and reason, they accomplish their goal by producing emotionally charged moments for the audience. The transition of Teja Sajja into a superhero is shown effectively, and the movie keeps the audience interested the entire time.

Unfortunately, the first part of the second half follows a very predictable trajectory and introduces needless drama that disrupts the flow of the movie. The antagonist’s character is weak, having unclear objectives, and is a major letdown. The middle act is also strained.

Despite this, the movie manages to capture the spirit of devotion and passion, particularly in the way Lord Hanuman is portrayed and the enormous statue that has been built in his honor. The movie may employ some artistic license, which succeeds in certain scenes but fails in others.

An engrossing and compelling ending in the last act transforms the entire impact of “HanuMan.” In theaters, the reverberating chanting of Jai Shri Ram and Jai Hanuman give viewers chills. Positively, the movie ends and paves the way for “Jai Hanuman,” a follow-up that will hit theaters in 2025.

“HanuMan” engages families and kids during the Sankranthi season, effectively catering to its target demographic. With the opening of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the timing in Hindi movies is right. It is anticipated that each of these elements will help “HanuMan” succeed as it continues to win people over this holiday season.
